I don't bee-LEEVE it! :eek A clutch two-run Tork Bomb in the eleventh to keep it tied! :lol

(Edit)
How they can let Outman off the hook by hitting him in the foot beggars belief. He must be the most clueless Tigers hitter I've seen since Ray Oyler.

Orioles starters pitch like crap, play horrendous defense, yet win 2 of 3.

Tigers go to Sacramento to play a bad Athletics team.

Indeed, today at times it seemed as if the Birds had lost the will to compete. A few walks in the seventh inning and things completely flipped. Incredible.
Skubal must be the best pitcher in baseball...for six innings. Pulling him in the seventh was a dubious decision in my estimation, but understandable.

He was having trouble when he was yanked. I understand that call.

That said, yesterday’s meltdown should just about settle it re: Skubal staying or getting traded. Hopefully they shop Tork, Jansen, and Torres while they’re at it.

I don’t think Mize will be TOO expensive to resign this offseason. I’d like to see the Tigers keep him.

It's fun to think about all the front office and media people who are thrashing around, waiting for Scott Harris to make a decision about Tarik Skubal, so that the rest of the dominos can fall as the trade deadline approaches. I'd guess that people like Ken Rosenthal and Jeff Passan are getting all kinds of off-the-record information about what is being offered for Skubal, to put pressure on Harris.

There are reports that Max Clark is about to make his long-awaited debut as a Tiger. That will be a handy distraction from the Skubal discussions.

Roster moves will have to be made. An immediate candidate might be Matt Vierling following his hammy pull yesterday. If I understand the rules, he'd have to go on the 60-day IL to make room on the 40-man roster.
However, in my opinion, a more likely candidate is OUTman, a lefty hitter like Clark...and I use the term "hitter" very loosely. The team may leave him on the tarmac as they fly to the coast.
An immediate trade may also be in the offing.

I think there’s a spot on the 40 man when Rogers was DFAed. Clark would replace him.

Active roster, either Vierling going to the 10 day or Outman jettisoned are most likely.

Rogers has since been traded to Baltimore for a Double-A reliever not on the 40.

Best advice I’ve read about Tarik is similar to my line of thinking, as I read a sports columnist say offer him a 3 year, $150M contract. Only thing that they mentioned that I disagree with is offering him an opt out clause after the first and second years. If anything, offer him an opt out option only after the 2nd year.

My thinking is that he’s had 3 arm surgeries. Him hoping for a 10 year, $500M contract is purely Scott Boras blowing smoke up his ass, as there’s no way he’s going to get a contract for that length by any team.

The Tigers are pounding the A's bullpen. Dingler just hit a grand slam to make it 9-1. Scored seven runs in the 8th.

Final score was 13-1.

A deal has to be in the works for Mize.

The A’s have had bullpen issues all year, and it’s not all from playing in a PCL park, Tigers bats should pounce on this again tomorrow.

Stayed up and watched the entire game. Watching the Tigers bat around late in the game and pour it on in the last two innings was awesome. Glad to see Dillon hit a slam and Malgeri get his first MLB homer

Good conditions for Max Clark's first game, on the road against a bad team. The way he went to the opposite field for his two doubles was impressive.

And he toned down the jewelry, which is probably a good thing.
