The Tigers were in their City Connect uniforms last night. I thought those awful things were only used on Fridays.

The City Connect unis are now being worn on home-game Mondays. I like how they switched the City Connect hats from the "Detroit" wordmark on the crown to the old English D.

The orange alternates are the new Friday unis. The dark blue alternates with the orange trim are being worn on Sundays.

As bad as Tork has been so far this year, remove that five-game stretch that accounted for five of his six homers and six of his 17 RBI, and his stats would be downright abysmal. But he's been decent defensively, and he's really the only bona-fide first baseman on the roster. We're likely stuck with him for the indefinite future.

I'd send Tork to Toledo, put Keith at first, and call up a fringe guy since the Maxes are not ready.

Bases loaded, down one run, two outs and you have McKinstry pinch hit? Why not Workman, or even leave Lee in? Reminds me of Leyland pinch hitting Don Kelly and getting zilch.

Tork hit a dinger, but looked awful in his other at bats. I stand by my stance of optioning him to Toledo. He’s a mess right now.
