WZZM has decided to stay in house and hire Blake Hansen as Sam's replacement.

WZZM anchor/reporter, Alana Holland, is leaving the station. Her last day is Friday.

According to a social media post, Holland, has taken a job in Grand Rapids with communications (PR) agency.

Former ABC57 (South Bend) morning anchor Jordan Hatfield has been hired by WZZM.

He'll report nightside for the 11p weekday show and will also anchor, at times, for the 5/6/11p shows.

Michael Martin, who spent eleven years as a reporter at Fox 17, has been hired to the same position at WZZM.

He left Fox 17 in 2025 due to budget cuts.

Always thought he did a good job at Fox 17.

If she's continuing in broadcasting let's hope, for other viewers, she's not an anchor.

IMO Amanda Porter may go down as one of the all time worst "anchors" in GR broadcasting history. Most folks off the street would do a better job than her. I don't get why they keep throwing her out there every weekend. She must be cheap. Amanda, my dear, PLEASE read your damn scripts.

Just received a call from my mom. She wondered why Law and Order isn't on (as advertised) rather a News Nation special on Regan is airing. There is no mention of this on their social media channels or on their website. Is this yet another "hub" issue for WOOD? or Are they censoring the NBC network ...

According to her socials she's been "job shadowing" at WKYC, the Tegna station in Cleveland. So, I'm not a betting man but it seems that she's heading a bit south.
