WZZM anchor/reporter, Alana Holland, is leaving the station. Her last day is Friday.
According to a social media post, Holland, has taken a job in Grand Rapids with communications (PR) agency.

Is there a PR firm in this town that just hires former TV staff? This seems like it happens a lot. Maybe she is the will become the replacement for Sue Shaw in 90 days

I'm sure there are plenty of WZZM staffers (and even WOOD staffers) who don't want to wait around to see what's going to happen with this merger and are weighing their options for where to go next.
