Anybody into this band? I don't really get it, but I guess it's a thing.

A) They are French, so they are in the company of the likes of Daft Punk and Air.

B) They remind me of Captain Beefheart's work.

C) Explain how Buckethead made it anywhere.

I think it's a fresh approach to Rock. Not formula, decent chops and an element of surprise.

Never heard of 'em. Reading up on 'em, it's something dubbed "mathrock". It sounds like a similar tack taken in the classical realm by the Second Viennese School in the early twentieth century - Schoenberg, Berg, and especially Webern; also by Charles Ives in America and then later by the likes of Pierre Boulez in Europe - only this duo is doing it with a dual-necked guitar with microtone frets, electronic loop foot pedals & knobs, and a drum kit.

No, I'm not into them, and watching that video it's doubtful I ever will. The costumes are an eye-catching gimmick, however. :lol Hey, it worked for Peter Gabriel with Genesis, KISS, Devo, Blue Man Group, and many others.

You may want to correct the thread title to Angine de Poitrine. And just curious, where exactly are they "a thing"?

The costume novelty rarely works as well as writing and performing good songs.

Search for their performance in Montreal. The turn out was unbelievable.

Jimmy Irrelevant might have smirked when introducing them, but they have landed harder than Geese.
