They only flipped to Alt because 89X flipped formats, so they absolutely have to feel threatened right now

Yeah I'd agree they probably feel like they have to step up their game at 98.7 to (try to) be superior to their foreign alt competitor 89X

Are they really concerned about a station that has done zero promotion and has zero advertising on this side of the river? I don’t see 89X taking even a full point away from 98.7. In Windsor, sure but not in Detroit.

ALT had a 3.9 share in the November book, #10 in the market and a notch ahead of Channel 95.5. Seems like 89X is not hurting them and they are doing pretty damn good. They are smart to build on that success.

I don't think a request hour would hurt, either. Even just a few an hour. Nothing crazy. All these stations are robots and jukeboxes. Open it up a little.

Can’t wait until mid February when we start heading south for 6 weeks (taking I-95 down from DC and stopping in a few places on the way). Spring training can’t come soon enough

Turns out Julia is leaving Audacy entirely. Today was her last day.
