Ah, yes. WTPG, aka the station that makes reception of 89X extremely difficult in the Toledo area.

If I win the Powerball tonight, I will buy WTPG and will take it silent.

I call BS on 90.3 WBCL (Fort Wayne) getting a 0.4 in Toledo when 90.3 WOTL exists. I suspect that's a double listing for 89.5 WBCY.
I wonder how WPOS and Yes FM stack up against the other CCM outlets in the market.

Who cares? Fuck all the stupid Christian stations. I'd rather listen to 666 hours of WSPD than five minutes of K-Love or Yes FM.

Q105 is getting the best numbers it’s had in years, which is funny because they are still in the mid-2’s. At what point does Cumulus realize it’s not working out? Same goes for WMIM as well. I understand they cater to Monroe, but a 0.7 share with pretty good reception into Lucas County, is pathetic. Buckeye Country WCKY, a station with its stick in Tiffin, has had better numbers with worse reception.

I always wonder how many ad dollars are available to be sourced from Monroe County, especially for a signal whose reception there is mediocre since the TX site was moved away from La Salle.

Johny D arguably helped ruin Tower 98, although the twin headed beast known as the Dickhead Brothers, I mean Dickey Brothers, along with their crotchety accomplice, Jan Jeffries, likely deserve much more of the blame.

In what may be a surprise to many of you, I actually somewhat liked the AC format that preceded the Nash Icon format.

NashIcon had a decent live & local morning show with Jeff Tuttle. Sadly, he passed in 2022 due to Pancreatic Cancer and I don't think they have a local morning show. Cliff Smithers recently came back to Cumulus on a part-time basis and does afternoon drive on there now.

I don't think Johny ruined Tower, as their ratings actually were at its best under his helm as morning show host.. Cracks eventually began to show, and he was gone by 2007. Replacing him with Kraddick didn't help, and to me, the nail in the coffin for Tower was switching to target Monroe again after all of the work to make it a Toledo targeted station.

I liked My 98.3 for both AC, and thought their Christmas playlist was larger than the River. I wish they kept that instead of flipping to Country as Cumulus already had the juggernaut that was K100.

I appreciate the info and stand corrected. For some reason (faulty memory), I thought he was still there when shares began to slide significantly.

I do remember Tower sounding increasingly lame after becoming Monroe-focused again.

Kidd Kraddick's morning show never worked well anywhere it aired in this part of the country.

A shame that Mix 95.7 and Hot 97.3's people were accused of cheating the ratings. As I am a frequent listener of Mix 95.7, would love to see how they do, especially compared to "The Juice 107.3."

When Mix was routinely listed years ago, they usually scored about a 4.5 or 5 share.

Yes, I vote for "Tower 98" circa 1983 style, was a great listen from Monroe.

Mid 90s was a good era for the station and so were the early and mid 00s.

It did sound lame around the year 2000. Crappy jingle package, crappy processing, boring DJs.

This is a signal that might thrive under local ownership if the transmitter were to be moved back to Monroe County. I wish Cumulus would sell it.
