Am I getting 5G interference on WDIV RF32?

I live in Melvindale and use an indoor antenna, and I get all the full-power Detroit stations, CBET, and WTVG just fine. But every two minutes, WDIV starts glitching. I think it may be 5G interference, but it doesn't affect WKBD on RF34, which is closer to the 5G band than WDIV. I'm really puzzled here

Any chance you have an SDR (Software Defined Radio)?

I was able to "see" interference I was receiving every so often on a (very local) TV channel, as "seen" from my rooftop antenna. I haven't necessarily solved the issue, but I could see what appears to be a dropout of signal across the entire bandwidth my SDR was set to received. Just thinking that "watching" the signal may provide you some clues.

Did this problem start only recently, or is this a long-standing issue?

WDIV sends significantly less ERP to the S and to the SE than other directions. Their tower is located near 696 and Greenfield. I suspect this may be a weak signal issue and little else.

UHF signals are more prone to pixelation on windy days.

It's been like this for about two years now. I never actually looked at their antenna pattern until now. Wow, that is lopsided. About 270 kW in my direction is a joke

I was thinking perhaps your reception issues began on the most recent repack date, but that definitely is not the case here.

Any number of culprits could be in play, ranging from object or structure interference, Wi-Fi router interference, 5G interference, or WDIV's antenna or transmitter not performing to spec.

I would try an LTE/5G filter and see if that resolves your issue. Make sure you get one that filters down to ~600 MHz (n71 band).
