What a horrific, gruesome situation.

THANK GOD the suspect was apprehended.

The suspect deserves the tiniest, most vile prison cell imaginable. My heart aches for the wife and children.

It sounds like they knew the suspect and he was welcome there.

I heard the news on my way home tonight. Jackie Paige made an announcement of sorts. She seemed choked up. Sounded like he was a really good guy.

It sucks when a veteran radio or TV talent passes. It sucks doubly when they're lost in such a senseless, tragic way.
Praying for healing and comfort for his family and friends and for the recovery of the injured victims - and of the perpetrator too, because I too want him to rot in prison for the rest of his life.

I swear either the local media or the Chesterfield police initially lied about this case, stating the killer was White, when it turns out he was black. It wasn't an accident.

I'm pretty sure the chief of police (blond hair)announced a couple of days ago that the perpetrator was found in the basemen, and he said he was White.

Yep, check YouTube. It's a wxyz report under title, update of Chesterfield murder, chief Bassett says the suspect is a white male. Could that be a slip of tongue. They had just arrested him, or were they trying to calm fears?

I'd love to know why a man previously convicted of assault with intent to murder and previously arrested multiple times for kidnapping was out on the streets as a free man.

We need to start seeing the names of inept judges or parole board members who make these terrible decisions.

Agreed, but if I explain who I believe is responsible, this discussion will turn political, and it won't be about Jim Matthews anymore. I guess we didn't learn anything from Michael Dukakis. On Mitch Albom this afternoon, Ken Brown was asking the same question...why was this guy out on the streets??? I am sure the boilerplate answer is probably "COVID" like it is for everything else. Jim's girlfriend isn't only "being held for observation" but is also on suicide watch, if what the Daily Mail says is true. That's brings up even more questions. Sad story.
