That explains needing a new morning reporter.

Toolis was good. Why can't they say where they are going? Every social media post is similar when someone leaves.
Deena was looking great this morning. I don't think I ever saw her in a top like that. :lol

Because it hasnt always been announced at the new place. One often gives notice or leaves before the new station announces their hire, for various reasons.

Brittney announced her engagement in Chicago, her hometown last weekend. I think it's pretty safe to speculate that she is taking a job there. Gorgeous pics, really attractive couple, super cool and nice lady, I'll miss having her around.

She's working at Fox 32 reporting for their morning show.

I figured that might be which station in Chicago would need someone. Good for her.

She didn't explain but it sounds like Whitney may be leaving 7. It has been less than two years since she was named the weekend anchor. Too bad if she's leaving as I think she is talented.

EDIT: She is anchoring the 5pm newscast today (July 28) so maybe she is just done on the weekends.

EDIT2 8/11/26: After still seeing her anchoring on the weekends following her post I sent her a note asking about it and she said that what she meant by "last night" was that the photo was taken the prior night. Many persons in the comments thought she meant she was leaving or changing air shifts as I thought.

Tina Nguyen has been hired as a sports anchor at WXYZ. She was previously at Fox 32 in Chicago.

So she’ll be the main person… hopefully she’s good… kinda surprised they got a person from that large a place.

7 has also added Sara Molina as a morning reporter replacing Brittany Toolis. She came from WRIC in Richmond, VA.

Last week I was in Chicago to see the Tigers and saw Brittany Toolis on tv. I forgot she left and I had to do a double take. Also saw Evrod Cassimy doing morning news, with Jenn Schanz being the main morning reporter on the same station. Pretty cool.

Whitney was a good weekend anchor when she worked for Wood TV, FOX17 sometimes took her reports since WXYZ is a sister station.
