Maybe they would be but maybe not… Trump assumes the folks using mail in ballots are all urban Democrats… there are an awful lot of rural Republicans who use it too.

The states would have pretty firm ground to sue the USPS which has said it will abide by court orders.

The court is arguing in pretzel like fashion that states who have exclusive authority over conducting elections have no authority to challenge this.

When you’re desperate to avoid investigations and impeachments out the ass… yeah they are trying a lot of things to not get a Democratic Congress. Both houses are in play at this point.

I've been pondering this for a few days since it all came about.
What right does the USPS have in deciding what mail gets delivered?

A city or township should be able to put a piece of mail with the sufficient amount of postage on it into a mailbox. And expect it to get delivered. No matter who is the intended recipient. It is not the USPS's role to decide if the recipient is eligible to vote or not. Their job is to just deliver the mail.

This is the start of a slippery slope. The government deciding what and what you cannot get mailed to you.
