MCRF - doing that is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. It might not seem like this at a certain moment, but things will get better.Matt wrote: ↑Fri Feb 06, 2026 8:38 pmI concur with what others have said: please don't. Have you considered Ontario?MotorCityRadioFreak wrote: ↑Fri Feb 06, 2026 7:15 pm There would be no future for me if one of them won. That’s why I am working hard now so that it won’t come to that.
I’ve been there. Can you imagine the absolute hell your parents, close friends, etc would go through if you did this? Probably way worse than what my parents and I went through when my brother was killed in a farm accident. Hell, it took me around 35 years to realize that lack of grief counseling (I was too young to take it seriously or realize the need) and long term regret was fucking up parts of my life.
I had a teenage female ex delinquent client commit suicide about a year after her case closed. I’d seen her at an alternative school she attended about 6 months after my case closed. She literally came running towards me from across a classroom to greet and hug me. Next I knew, I received this news. Granted, there were some mental health issues but she could have reached out as I certainly would have talked to her and tried to reason with her.
If you’re starting to go down this dark path, at least call 988 which is the Suicide Prevention Hotline. They can help.
