If 89X does come back, as mentioned here, Everyone needs to have lower expectations about it being as good as it once was. after all its Bell Media.
I personally would rather see a Variety Hits station but that's me. Also listening to that clip 47 times, and seeing the closed caption wording Could the morning show be called Bread & a Spread? Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

If this happens and a good product is produced, 98.7’s numbers will likely sink a great deal. WWJ on FM or a return of The Breeze??

Extremely unlikely they will target the US audience and try to sell to US advertisers. Any format change will still be 100% focused on Canadians only.

If they aren't taking sales away from 98.7, they will continue to have have zero impact on the format on that station.

My RDS said something about August 28 at 8am. But that Spanish voice did say "tomorrow" so who knows.

Thursday morning at 8:08 AM is when we'll supposedly see what's next. Might be launch of the new format, or it could be the launch time of another stunt.
