I know this is a "sports [thread]," but I saw this article about the Golden Bachelor, who's identified as a “retired restaurateur,” & my thoughts turned to Ron, who could also be described as such. Ron as the next Golden Bachelor? What sayeth Ron Cameron Nation?

I would actually tune in to see that.

Ron is a big fan of Richard Nixon. Wonder what his thoughts are on the passing of Henry Kissinger, one of Nixon's most important advisors?

Stumbled across this picture of two of Ron's least favorite Pistons of all time (Blake Griffin and Killian Hayes). I'm guessing that Ron does not have a poster of this picture on his recovery room wall.

With Ron's current producer going dark on us, it's too bad Alex doesn't seem available to step into the breach.

To help speed Ron's recovery, here is a friendly parody of "(There's No Place Like) Home for the Holidays".

With deepest respect for Perry Como's recording of the original song.

(There's No Host Like) Ron for the Radio

Oh, there's no host like Ron for the radio
Yes, it matters what station you turn on
When you pine for some memories of an older time
For real sports talk, you can't beat Ron Cameron

I heard a man who called from Canada, and he was talkin' 'bout
Anniversaries for some famous sports heroes
From up in Fraser, Kurt is talkin'
'bout the latest baseball news
From Ann Arbor to the Ren Cen
Calls are coming in to Martin

Oh, there's no host like Ron for the radio
'Cause no matter what other shows you hear
If you want to hear sports talk in a classic way
For fun interviews, keep Ron's show near your ear

I heard a man named Mister Positive, and he was talkin' 'bout
Reaching for your dreams, and having a nice day
From somewhere distant, Denny's callin'
To remember '68
From Toledo to Toronto
E-mails coming in real pronto

Oh, there's no host like Ron for the radio
People wonder what's happened when he's gone
And they yearn for the novelty of his talk show
For real sports talk, you can't beat Ron Cameron

For real sports talk, you can't beat Ron Cameron

Thanks. This just popped in my head yesterday morning. Hope Ron and Martin take it in a good way.

After Ron was fired from WDTK for his racist remark,Alex has not posted or been on Ron's show.Alex seems like a smart man.I think he knows that there is no upside for him to be associated with Ron in,any way

Heard Martin today on WPON. He was predicting JJ Johnson will be doing talk radio on WJR next year. One thing he didn't mention is how R Sizzle is doing.

I wouldn't put much stock in what Martin has to say.

I can indirectly give some idea of what Ron's going through, because my father had knee surgery four days after Ron had his.

With the help of family and friends, my father's been doing a lot of at-home exercises, and he's also being transported to physical therapy sessions and doctor visits. I doubt if Ron has the support system that my father has, so I'm guessing he's going to stay in a rehab center as long as possible, either by choice or necessity. My father has had some rough patches, but nothing like the diagnosis of a brain aneurysm.
