WJR - Guy Gordon gets a co-host
Just announced by Paul W, Jamie Edmonds, of Loco4 fame, will be joining Guy Gordon and Lloyd Jackson in mornings.
Funny thing, Paul incorrectly referred to her as Jamie "Edmondson" a well known Playboy playmate.
I rarely watch TV, so it'll be interesting to see what others think of this. Frankly, Guy Gordon needed a co-host when he was on afternoons.

I assume she has the prerequisite conservative qualifications or learns quickly to affect them.

Re: WJR - Guy Gordon gets a co-host
I have no idea. Paul W (who's on an hour earlier, from the car show in Frankenmuth) just had her on the phone. She said a lot, but said very little. Sounds like she's going to keep the Loco4 gig for now. Probably a good idea.
On a side note, the remote from Frankenmuth is a disaster, and a bore fest. It doesn't sound to me like more than 10 minutes of planning or discussion went into this broadcast...with two more hours to go.

In other words - par for the course for a typical Paul W. Smith broadcast these days.
Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

I was listening to that also. Just awful. At 12:10 I had to flip on Sirius until Renwick came on at 2:00.

They must be trying to get some of the suburban mom audience. I'll have to check it out, but it I'm not sure that she will have a lot to offer, we'll see.

It can't be any worse than Guy Gordon solo. Actually Guy Gordon with Warren Pierce would be worse.

Point taken, but even Warren would be an improvement over Kevin Dietz and Tom Jordan. In some ways, I feel sorry for Tom. Kevin won't let him get a word in. Talks over him constantly.

I’ve been a H*** talk radio listener since mid 80s. Maybe because of my age, but does AM radio, now, especially 20th place WJR, seem like the 8-track tape player of info and engaging broadcasting delivery?

It's not even that, it's the idea of having to listen to Guy Gordon AND "Borren" Pierce together. Yeesh.radiofann wrote: ↑Fri Sep 08, 2023 7:52 pmI’ve been a H*** talk radio listener since mid 80s. Guy Gordon is one of the people I refuse to listen to on WJR, when he's on i'll listen to something else, anything else...but not WJR. They made a big mistake moving Paul W from the morning slot and replacing him with Guy Gordon. Guy needs to retire... Sorry, and now 910AM has a far better show at the same so It's all about the programming.

Guy Gordon's "let me play devil's advocate" approach to everything is beyond laughable. Warren Pierce had a similar tactical approach, without actually mentioning it on-air. To be fair, Warren was never "political" and treated everyone the same way.
