Well, you need to realize anyone you see in front of the camera has people coming up to them while they are out and about. You get recognized. Many will have an "ooh and awe" attitude towards you. Some even ask for your autograph and can't wait to tell friends and family they met Alex Anchor.
That sort of thing can go to some people's heads. And they can appear to, like you said, think they are all that when they are on the air.
I posted about this a while back. Sandra Ali and Shawn Ley divorced last year or so.
Now whenever Sandra is anchoring it is always the other anchor that does the toss to Shawn for his live reports and he tosses back to that other anchor at the end of his report.
