Bob Edmondson (Tijuana Brass) has died
Bob Edmondson (Tijuana Brass) has died
Trombonist Bob Edmondson of Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass (from 1964 - 1971, 1974 - 1975 & 1984) has died. No age has given probably 85 or 86 years old. Bob I think appeared at the old Pine Knob Music Theater (Clarkson, MI) in August of 1984 during the "Bullish" tour. He retired since.

Re: Bob Edmondson (Tijuana Brass) has died
Those TJB albums hold up well after all these years. Alpert knew how to get the sound he wanted, and recorded it well.
Re: Bob Edmondson (Tijuana Brass) has died
Herb Alpert Tijuana Brass "Volume 2" (1963), "The Brass Are Comin'" (NBC TV soundtrack from late 1969) & Herb's "Just You And Me" (1976) are the worst albums of the catalog!! The 1976 song "Just You And Me" is NOT the Chicago remake from 1973 BUT a different song & also the only one that has not been released on CD or on Apple iTunes. The reissue of the 2005 "Lost Treasures" (originally released from Shout! Factory) will be reissued later this year (collection of unreleased songs from the A&M Records vault).

Also Bob Edmondson also played the trombone on Herb's 1976 worst album "Just You And Me" which also failed to chart in the Billboard Top 200 Album Charts.
