Re: Low-Energy Trump...
LOL! As mentioned earlier NY is not "open" primary, and they have very few republicans registered. Apparently Trump's aren't all registered either...

Re: Low-Energy Trump...
Donald Trump's children Ivanka and Eric won't be voting for him in New York's April 19 primary, Trump revealed Monday, because they failed to register as Republicans by the deadline.
"They had a longtime register and they were, you know, unaware of the rules, and they didn't register in time. So they feel very, very guilty. They feel very guilty. But it's fine," the GOP presidential candidate told Fox News' "Fox and Friends" by phone.
Trump said he thinks they would have had to register a year in advance.
DUHHRRRRR!
But according to New York State's Board of Elections, New Yorkers who aren't registered could have registered if they had postmarked an application by March 25 or submitted the application in person on that date. For New Yorkers who were previously registered and wanted to change political parties, the deadline was Oct. 9, 2015.
"So Eric and Ivanka, I guess, won't be voting," Trump said.
Asked if he will now cut off their allowance, he said, "Yes. No more allowance."
This comes just over a week before New York holds its primary, which people can only participate in if they are registered in a particular party. Independents cannot participate.
Ironically, according The Daily Beast, Ivanka starred in at least six campaign videos so far where she talked about how to register to vote in various states.
LOL!

Hilarious stuff.
Wouldn't surprise if either Eric or Ivanka (or perhaps both of them) are registered as Democrats.

Re: Low-Energy Trump...
I don't think he'll make an exit until the convention. In Cleveland Trump could be in a position to get everything to salvage his ego... except the nomination.
At that point Trump would be in a position to be a "king maker." The guy understands how to make a deal. He could cut a deal to try to get enough of his delegates to go to a candidate of his chosing. Then he could live with the legacy (at least in his mind) of having chosen the President. Or, if the Republican nominee loses he could deny culpability and say, "If I had been the nominee I would have beaten Hillary."
Either way, his ego would be in no-lose situation.
The only way he could lose is if he is the nominee.
His standing in the polls versus Clinton in the November general could be a wake-up call for him by the time the convention starts. And I don't see him overcoming his 10 point deficit in the next three monrhs.

Avoid the Moral Stain?

Hi Pres Hillary...If Mr. Trump nevertheless got the GOP nomination, many Republicans would face a similar dilemma to the one they face now. Once again, appeals to party unity and victory in November would offer them excuses to ignore the simple moral calculation required to recognize Mr. Trump’s unacceptability. In fact, they would have at least three ways to avoid making this error — voting for Ms. Clinton, running a third-party conservative candidate or refusing to vote at all. None of these options promises to put a Republican in the White House. But each would at least spare some Republicans the moral stain of association with Mr. Trump.
