Re: Democrat Primary predictions

"the liberals resort to name calling"

SERIOUSLY?!?

There has never been a president who has lowered the status of the office remotely close to Trump with his insults and grade-school name calling.

Re: MLB Postseason Expansion Looming?

Great job, fuzz! I love looking at old box scores. 43,000+ for a Friday night game in July. Bill Monbouquette and Jerry Lumpe. Looked like Lolich came out of the bullpen. Essentially, the same group that won the WS 2 years later.

Re: Liar, Cheater, and Rape-Enabler Tom Izzo's program under investigation

I think most of the UM supporters are realistic about their teams. Seems like most everybody on this board, sans Matt, look at things objectively. My sister is a die-hard Wolverine but criticizes her team when deserved. I've mentioned a friend who is such a big Wolvie, he visits Bo Schembechlers gra...

Re: Democrat Primary predictions

It will be very interesting, for sure. I'm old, but not old enough to have lived thru a brokered convention. I just think Biden is done. No real buzz from supporters, and I honestly get the feeling his heart isn't in it. I really think he lost his internal fire when his son died. I believe most Demo...

What do you guys think of the three batter rule? Not so sure I like it.
It's a terrible idea; I hope it does not get adopted in the majors!
It is....this year.

Re: MLB Postseason Expansion Looming?

You guys are probably too young, but remember Earl Wilson? Played on the Tigers in the 60's, and on the WS team in '68. GREAT hitting pitcher! Mayo Smith used him as a pinch hitter all the time. His lifetime batting average was around .200 and he hit 35 homers in his career.

Re: Stafford on the move?

Here's where I got the idea: https://sports.yahoo.com/how-to-fix-the ... 06267.html

I just think when you're the Lie-downs and HAVE WON ONE PLAYOFF GAME IN 60+ YEARS, you gotta take chances.

Re: Stafford on the move?

Lions would take a H*** salary cap hit if they traded Stafford this year, the way his contract bonus is structured. If they were smart, they would draft Tua, and let him sit and learn behind Matt for a year. Next year they can trade Stafford and get a few draft picks, and they will have Tua on his r...

Is that the honest and right thing to do?
No, it's not the right thing to do. But that doesn't seem to matter here. That is exactly my point.
