WJML "AM 11" heard last night
Around 11:30 PM, a DX'er in London, Ontario reported hearing WJML, underneath co-channel WBT Charlotte, NC. WJML was playing songs, with a female voice doing the station ID's in between "This is WJML Petoskey"
London, Ont. seems a little far for JML to drift on night power, but who knows...

They should do "WJML The Music Station" and a "JML" jingle between alternating tracks.

Assuming the master reels are still in the old building, they're probably in rough shape. Who was the JML voice guy? He probably did the liners and ID's for WMUS as well. Did PAMS do the jingles? I don't remember.

They tore the front lean to off a couple years ago, leaving the transmitter and antenna equipment for 750 and 1110. Not sure what got thrown out, though Del was a big fan of the station and might have rescued them. They would still have to have some kind of simple studios there.

Many PAMS jingles were digitally archived by a friend of mine. I bet JML could be sourced.

I thought JML's jingle pkg was JAM Productions, at least late 70's, but I may be off on that.
If anyone knows for certain, it would be Rob Hazelton.

Can anyone hear if "AM 11" (1110) is still on?

I thought Del retired when he sold to Diamond due to his wife's health? Can't imagine he'd get back into it without her.Ben Zonia wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 4:46 pmThey tore the front lean to off a couple years ago, leaving the transmitter and antenna equipment for 750 and 1110. He might just want them for historical value. I think he still does Engineering.

From what I understand, Del's current roster of engineering clients stretch from The Soo down to Manistee.
Anyone up there still hearing JML on 1110?

Only because you asked... I fired up my Sony 7600GR and...
Yes... very faint signal. Had to manually tune it.
Some female voice ID'd it, "This is Eleven Ten WJML Petosley" in between what sounds like your typical music on hold @ about 6:10pm & again at 6:14pm, and several more IDs "This is WJML Petoskey" afterwards. They seem to be IDing after just about every change in music or 5 minutes, whichever comes first. Bleh!
This is about all I can tell you and take.

Any Intel out there on who's buying WJML?
My best guess would be either a Catholic group, or, alternatively, as TCT would say, "The guy who drank all of his profits"

They already have an affiliate that is fairly powerful from the Good Hart/Emmet Heights tower area.
