WSRJ Sold
Re: WSRJ Sold
Re: WSRJ Sold
If this deal is like some of the ones from the past, the cash paid by WLJN was also donated by other broadcasters to get the signal out of commercial inventory.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Thu Jul 16, 2020 7:22 amRoxanne Steele was on-air at Razor 94.7 in Green Bay for many years.
When one considers the tax benefit of the "gift," Midwestern is basically selling this station for ~$250,000. Not a horrible price when one considers the signal limitations.
So much for the theory (floated by you, TC Talks?) of Good News Media being light on funds; they clearly have cash on hand.
103.9 was acquired by WCMU in the 1990's this way.

Re: WSRJ Sold
105.5 as a standalone would've been a threat to no one, though.
Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.
Re: WSRJ Sold
Maybe not. But there are some other advantages to a smaller number of stations. And it keeps any of the other clusters from buying it and using it as a flank attack. Langer gets to hide some of the cash from the other sales in the “charitable contribution” and everyone is happy.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sat Jul 18, 2020 2:37 pm105.5 as a standalone would've been a threat to no one, though.
