According to Wikipedia and I take it with a grain of salt naturally, but I see Brother Stair is airing around the clock on several of their stations. Obviously, it's brokered programing and as long as the checks are coming in, it doesn't matter. Being a bit nosey here but I'd love to know who is paying for all this. Is it Stair's overcomer ministry, whomever is in charge of it now or someone else with deep pockets? I suspect maybe 10 people are listening and some just for the entertainment value sometimes. A little while ago, I was able to catch a station this was on. What a head trip this guy was.
On a side note, my guess is WGOP will never make it back to air.

Brother Stair and Birach Broadcasting
Re: Brother Stair and Birach Broadcasting
I kind of figured but also thought maybe someone else was footing the bill to have them broadcast on s few stations in major markets. I was not 100% sure if the ministry itself was still around but maybe there was still a small group of followers who are putting up the money.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2024 4:13 pm The ministry is paying for the airtime, of course. The ministry still exists, even though Stair is deceased.

Re: Brother Stair and Birach Broadcasting
didn't know there was an actual station with the call letters WGOP as opposed to it being a derisive nickname for WJR, WLS, WSPD, WTMJ, etc. over the years on the interwebs
Re: Brother Stair and Birach Broadcasting
Ok.. I stand corrected here about WGOP, from what I can see the station is back on the air, I'm not sure if the calls are still WGOP or WDMV now. Birach no longer owns the station.

540 is still WGOP legally. The WDMV calls are on 700 in the Frederick area, on a station still owned by Birach.
