My father has an MP3 device that is malfunctioning. He can't hear anything through headphones. He's tried different headphones.
Does anyone know of a good electronics store in the Plymouth/Northville/Livonia area that might be able to help him?
I did a search on-line. Morrell Electronics on Orchard Lake Road in Farmington Hills seemed like a possibility.
The device is a BookPort Plus, catalog number 1-07191-00.
Thanks.

Re: Electronics Repair Store for Malfunctioning MP3 Device
IDK anything about the product that makes it special enough to want to repair it (MP3 players are about a dime a dozen), or about a store. However, maybe those were used as 'talking book"s by the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (LBPH) in Michigan? It may be worth a call to their tech department to see if they know about the product, have spares, or where to send them if they need to be service.
Good luck in your search!

Re: Electronics Repair Store for Malfunctioning MP3 Device
That's a specialty audio book device from the American Printing House for the Blind. Not a "dime a dozen" vanilla MP3 music player. A search brings up many options including a user and repair manual. If it was gotten from APHB it could be handled by their warranty repair service, or they might have a recommended, authorized service depot.

Re: Electronics Repair Store for Malfunctioning MP3 Device
I recently had several electronics repaired at Seven-Grand Service on 7 Mile near Beech Daly in Redford. Good guys there.
