"Wouldn't surprise me if panel turnover occurred recently. Some stations moved a bunch whereas others moved only a little in terms of share. The movement seemed more volatile than usual this go 'round." What panel turnover? GR is a diary market...doesnt the panel turn over weekly? It's not a PPM market where they have the meters for up to a year.

I Imagine Hannity and sports are the only things keeping WOODs ratings up that high, If they had a Rush type show on middays, itd be up higher, Glenn Beck is not the powerhouse he used to be.
How embarassing that hood rap music on peashooter 104.9 is getting higher ratings than 50kw 105.3, I wouldnt be surprised if Jethro 94.9 had more listeners than 107.3
Im not expecting a flip, but something other than what theyre doing now.

Re: Nielsen audio AQH shares for rolling 3-survey period ended in May
WCSG, B-93, and WGRD continue dominating the market with loyal audiences and being professionally run. WSNX went
down a complete percentage point to a 5.3% share but that is still respectable for the overall ratings. I didn't expect that
WLAV would jump up to fifth place and to a 4.8% share. WLAV needed to improve so that Cumulus of G.R. could have a
station in the top five. I'm thinking that WLAV trending upward wasn't a fluke at all. I'm thinking that disenchanted clas-
sic rock listeners who spent time listening to other stations or no radio at all have returned to WLAV enough to reach
a 4.8% share. The reason I think enough people have returned there is because there isn't another station in the G.R.
market with a classic rock format. Some say G.R. can't have two classic rock stations like Detroit has because it isn't
a large market like Detroit and that may be true. I don't expect any competition to WLAV being offered because only
Town Square with WLHT and I Heart with WBFX have the power to compete and as discussed earlier neither of those
stations will flip to classic rock. Therefore I say many classic rock listeners have returned to WLAV not because it made
any changes but because nobody in G.R. commercial FM radio is offering a better classic rock alternative to WLAV.

Verified by a friend who works for Nielsen. Even in a CDM market like Grand Rapids, diary keepers are only used for one week at a time. There is a sizeable turnover each ratings period. The typical in tab for GR is 12-1400 total diary keepers a year, so 3-400 per 3 month period.

I really didn't expect WBFX "The Big 101.3 FM" to move up to number six. I still say that WLAV jumping to number five is just
because disenchanted classic rock listeners don't have an alternative classic rock station in the market. In fact I'll say I
bet there are many who may listen to WLAV as the only classic rock station but to a lesser extent those listeners are also
switching back and forth listening to WGRD, WFGR, and WBFX where some classic rock is mixed in with the formats of
those stations. In the long run they always come back to WLAV if WFGR and WBFX get too pop with their hits and if WGRD
gets too extreme with the rock played there.

Hot FM is building with their new lineups.
Having anchors like Rachel and Jackie in drive time will soon lead to big wins in Grand Rapids. Lori's vision just needs time to work.

Re: Nielsen audio AQH shares for rolling 3-survey period ended in May
I made comments regarding the top six stations in the May ratings. Due to lack of any commentary from anyone else on
the top six stations I'm going to comment on stations seven and eight. Star 105.7 FM was number seven dropping down to
a 4% share. I would think that a mega powered A/C station would have done better. WOOD really went down as they were
eighth in the overall ratings for May. I thought that a news/talk station with the play by play coverage of the Detroit Tigers
baseball would have for sure made the top five but instead WOOD dropped to number eight with only a 3.8% share.

We haven't had that spirit here since 2023. Or...since Lori's been out for about a year, why would her vision even still be relevant?
