What is it with Ford and electrical fires?? Seems like they -more then other auto manufacturers- have a serious issue with electrical problems that can escalate to fires. For a long time they had the ignition switch issue but it seems like there have been numerous issues over the years.

Seems like after the FIRST major issue like that someone would step up and say "let's not have THAT kind of thing happen again!"

The battery monitor sensor is supposedly the issue. It should've been equipped with a fuse originally, or better yet, a higher quality design & better materials should have been used. Those issues have nothing to do with work quality of assembly line workers.

Poor engineering and parts sourcing are the underlying problem. Ford's engineering is a clusterfuck.

Ford is pushing anyone who has been there longer than 6 years into buy outs. I have the feeling their engineering department has problems given all the recalls.
