Go Blue!!!
Absolute statement game by Michigan!!!
Incredible performance all around. One of the best Michigan football victories I've seen in my lifetime given the quality of the opponent and what was on the line today.
Very, very proud of my team's performance today. I thought Michigan would probably win today, but I thought it would be a competitive game. Michigan was completely dominant.

Re: Go Blue!!!
If you would have told me the Wolverines would be here back in September, you'd be joining me at those AA tables in Ann Arbor.
I can't believe what I've witnessed from this team this last month. Confidence, respect, playing smart and hard.
GO BLUE!!! see you in the CFP.

Just got back to the hotel - what an AMAZING experience! The only complaint I have is that if a neutral site is a requirement, why isn't it at Ford Field?

Re: Go Blue!!!
What’s non-neutral about Indy? Ford Field has two of the schools who could plausibly play in its backyard… it would be a home game… hardly neutral in the least bit. What’s closest to Indy? Purdue or Indiana? The Lions May win a Super Bowl before we see them in the title game.
One could also just make the observation that we would actually have something to root for at the stadium for a change.

I was happy should be number 1 should be Michigan, 2. Bama, 3. Cincy, 4. UGA. Sorry, Bama should not leap flog Michigan you don't want the rematch just put Cincy at 3 just my opinion.
Go Pistons, Let's Go Redwings.
Re: Go Blue!!!
Most mainstream projections I'm seeing put it
1 Alabama
2 Michigan
3 Georgia
4 Cincinnati
I don't think I could argue against Alabama leaping over Michigan. I do think an argument could be made to have Cincinnati 3 and Georgia 4.
You could MAYBE make an outside argument for Notre Dame being in the 4-spot over Georgia as their 1 loss came midseason and was to Cincinnati, but they just didn't have a strong enough schedule.

My gut says the committee will seed to avoid a Georgia Alabama rematch in the semi's.

Re: Go Blue!!!
I suspect Matt's point is the Big Ten office gives favoritism to Indianapolis and gives Detroit (a city with an indoor football stadium with seating capacity just a few thousand shy of Indy) the shaft year...after year...after year.
Detroit has a major airport, too; Indy does not.
It's bullshit Detroit has not been the host city at least once. I would like to see the U-M and MSU athletic departments team up and lobby for Detroit as a host city.
The basketball tournament should also come to Detroit at some point. Cleveland and perhaps Milwaukee and Minneapolis, too. It's utter B.S. that Chicago and Indy are the host cities 90+ percent of the time.

Re: Go Blue!!!
By the way, I am of the opinion Michigan should be ranked #1 in the country following yesterday.
Michigan's only loss was better than Bama's only loss, and Bama struggled against Auburn.
I will concede a case can be made for Bama, too, since Georgia was #1 ranked coming into yesterday's contest. That said, Georgia only had a couple really good opponents prior to yesterday, which lent at least a little doubt as to the legitimacy of their #1 ranking.
Michigan defeated Wisconsin on the road, suffered a controversial loss in East Lansing, defeated Penn State on the road, crushed Iowa yesterday, and played a great game and earned a memorable victory against a damn good Ohio State game (who blew out the Spartans days prior).
If Michigan had squeaked past Iowa, I would give the nod to Bama all day long. When one looks at the points Michigan has put up on the scoreboard the past three games and the average margin of victory, I feel - until proven otherwise - Michigan is the nation's best team at the moment.

My rankings:
1. Michigan
2. Alabama
3. Georgia
4. Cincinnati
5. Notre Dame (Georgia screwed them by losing!)
6. Baylor
7. Ohio State
8. Oklahoma State (if they had won, all hell would've broken loose in terms of the CFP! Missed the go ahead score by inches. I think they would have deserved the nod over Cincy.)
9. Mississippi
10. Michigan State

Re: Go Blue!!!
It will be interesting to see what the committee decides.
The only clear unquestioned decision is Georgia has to move down.
By default somebody or somebodies have to move up to fill the void.
What ever happens I will be shocked if Michigan plays Cincinnati

Re: Go Blue!!!
Stated differently - I (too) would be shocked if the committee were to rank the teams in such a way that the outcome would be a Georgia - Alabama rematch in the semi-final game.
As far as I'm concerned, such bias should not factor into the pairings. It probably will, though, since the decision makers are probably crooked.
Are you thinking Michigan vs. Georgia and 'Bama vs. Cincy for the semi-final pairings?

The complaint I have with college football is its the only sport (other than sports with judges) where your record doesn't stand on its own. If it did Cincinnati would be #1 because they are the only ones left undefeated.

Re: Go Blue!!!
I'm in complete agreement with Craig.....it WILL be UM-Georgia and Bama-Cincy. There is no way in he'll they will have 2 SEC teams play each other in the semis.. However they rank them is really irrelevant since they will sort it out on the field. Committee did get lucky since it's an obvious 4 teams.
The censorship king from out of state.
