Charlie Tinker (ABC 12)
Charlie Tinker (ABC 12)
Is Charlie Tinker (anchor & reporter) the best announcer since you know who during the 70's & 80's?? Can't think of his name. https://www.abc12.com/authors/charlie.tinker/

By his profile pic, it appears he is getting his dose of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine as the shot is being taken.

Landed @ MINews26 for a while; now I know where he landed after that...

IDK why, I always equated him with a young Thurston P. Howell III.
Lovey.

Re: Charlie Tinker (ABC 12)
I think you mean Bob Scott. He was an original member of the ABC 12 family. Robert Scoch, aka 'Bob Scott', was an announcer at WJRT from when the station first signed on in 1958 with his voice to his retirement in 1989. He was 'the voice' of channel 12. His last 'Good Morning America' cutaway weather forecast when he concluded with 'This is Bob Scott. Goodbye, everyone'.matt1 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 9:30 pmIs Charlie Tinker (anchor & reporter) the best announcer since you know who during the 70's & 80's?? Bob Scott used to read wire and station news copy with telecine slides, doing news, sports and weather, about 6:15 a.m., back toward the end of the 70s, 1980, before they even had a locally produced, pre-"Good Morning America" newscast. Great voice!
