Least favorite commercials of all-time
I've been watching commercials for as long as I've been watching TV. What are some of the worst ones you can remember seeing? The ones that you'd change the channel or mute to try to avoid them.

Anything to do with Progressive insurance. Their commercials suck and their insurance products suck.

Dude, you’re getting a Dell! I wanted to punch that kid in the face.

Any of the Lee Steinburg commercials:
CALL ME AND I'LL BE RIGHT THERE.
I still think he owns part share of WJRT.

ANY prescription drug ads! It's gotten to the point where I can't stand watching the evening network national newscasts, but the airwaves and cable waves are rife with them. Thank goodness for the remote.
And I agree, the Progressive Insurance ads with Flo and her various personages and white-clad cohorts are terrible.

Any B-B-B-B-Bulbhead BS.
Deceptive advertising, showing 2-3 items on screen @ end of their commercials, but posting the single-item price.
They aren't the only ones using the line (but sure seem to use it most):
"BUT WAIT!!! ORDER NOW AND YOU CAN GET A 2ND OVER-PRICED P.O.S.!!! {just pay separate fee}"
Thank you, Captain Obvious...

For me, it's the Plexiderm commercials. That's literally a channel changer for me.
Re: Least favorite commercials of all-time
Not only the worst commercial, but the longest one. Advertising time must be cheap, late at night.Mike Oxlong wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 5:46 pm For me, it's the Plexiderm commercials. That's literally a channel changer for me.

The TV ad for a diabetic medicine called Toujeo. The guy sitting at his desk at the office squirming around in his chair, then he gets up and wiggle walks all over the office. Then shows him at home wiggle waddling around cutting the grass. Finally tries to take the hound dog for a walk, but the dog doesn't want to get up. Probably too embarrassed.
Re: Least favorite commercials of all-time
Poshmark. It's an online market where women can sell their used clothes.
The ads are all testimonials from air head women talking about the thousand of dollars they have made selling their clothes.
"I made ten thousand dollars from Poshmark"
""I made enough on Poshmark to pay for our wedding."
"I made enough money to take our family on a cruise"
If I sold all the clothing I have, I wouldn't make enough to buy a Big Mac.

Instantly rocketing to Number One Least Favorite:
The newest ad for MI Senate candidate John James, now running in saturation mode. A blatant and unapologetic ripoff of the "Pure Michigan" tourism campaign, reprising Tim Allen's breathy voiceover and soft, soothing music, complete with a "write on" tag of James' signature. If it's by the same ad agency, they should be ashamed. If it's from a different agency, they should issue a Cease and Desist.
