Where is the concern/outrage regarding Pelosi's attempted coup?
Re: Where is the concern/outrage regarding Pelosi's attempted coup?
Instead, we got four years of bullshit investigations and one bullshit impeachment. Now she's working on another impeachment that will further inflame tensions for a guy that has 173 hours and three minutes left in office.

Republicans are the masters of bullshit investigations... Benghazi ring a bell? We held endless hearings on that. Now the very same people who held them don’t think this is worthy of any. How very convenient...
Donald Trump… In your guts you know he’s nuts.
Re: Where is the concern/outrage regarding Pelosi's attempted coup?
Wait wait, I've got one.... Obama isn't a US Citizen...
So today the impeachment is bullshit? Matt, you're all over the place.

I've actually been pretty consistent. The best path forward for the country is for Trump to resign and leave voluntarily. The first impeachment was bullshit, and today's is dangerous.

Ask not what your country can do FOR you; ask what they are about to do TO YOU!!
Re: Where is the concern/outrage regarding Pelosi's attempted coup?
Neither did Trump.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

The world disagrees with you.

Re: Where is the concern/outrage regarding Pelosi's attempted coup?
Liz Cheney sure does:
In a three-paragraph statement, Cheney didn’t hold back: “There has never been a greater betrayal by a President of the United States of his office and his oath to the Constitution.”
Cheney also put the responsibility of the attack on the Capitol squarely on Trump, stating that he “summoned” the mob and “lit the flame of this attack” — and that without him, the bloody riot would’ve never happened.
“Everything that followed was his doing,” Cheney continued. “The President could have immediately and forcefully intervened to stop the violence. He did not.”
....or is she a RINO?

In a court of law, that would be called conjecture.Honeyman wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 10:09 amLiz Cheney sure does:

In Clarence Brandenburg v. Ohio, The SCOTUS established the legal standard for violent speech, speech that is “directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action and is likely to incite or produce such action.”
This is what Trump said, "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol Building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard."
A reasonable person would find that the statement falls far short of the legal standard. I know it's hard for you lefties to separate emotion from legal standard, but do please give it a try.

Let's see what the House and the Senate consider it. Certainly corporate America has considered decided.

They are not concerned with laws or the concept of 'rule by law'. It's what you FEEL and THINK that should be ruling the country, not a silly thing like law.Bryce wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 11:05 amIn a court of law, that would be called conjecture.

Re: Where is the concern/outrage regarding Pelosi's attempted coup?
I don't think Trump DIRECTLY incited what happened a week ago, but the full body of his rhetorical work of the last 5 1/2 years while he ran for and became President allowed for 1/6 to happen. I give 0 fucks about BLM or antifa in the context of what happened.
