Wentz is probably more stretched out, but he was awful as a starter last year. If Faedo or Brieske aren’t going to get a shot, it’s probably Manning again. Madden isn’t ready, neither is Jobe, and Sammons is a career minor leaguer. Short of signing someone, those are your options.
I agree on Manning. He should have been given the long leash that a lot of the young hitters were given this year. Pat Caputo last night made a reasonable case against Manning, but whatever his faults, he's got to be better than Maeda.

Good. The Tigers are always slow with the obvious decisions (sending down Torkelson and Meadows, etc.), but they do eventually make them. This should boost clubhouse morale and maybe help them continue this hot streak.

Ain't gonna happen with Olsen now on the IL and Flaherty possibly headed out at the trade deadline. Manning and Mize are also battling injuries. It's gonna be "all hands on deck" as far as the rotation is concerned.

Right now, I'd guess Flaherty and Kelly might be traded together for a minor league prospect and a young number 4-5 major league starting pitcher.
