I finally did it!!! I dumped Xfinity for video service in favor of YouTubeTV!

A place to discuss broadband, streaming video, cable, and satellite services (not programming). Bitch about your crappy cable, satellite or streaming video provider here! This is also the place to talk about channel line-ups, packages, and special offers.

Congrats, you will be happy you made the switch. It may take a minute to get used to the concept of not "channel surfing", but once you get used to how the app works you will love it. Just the ease of being able to watch on your phone, computer, tablet, or TV no matter where you are at is such a major "pro". Other than Bally Sports, all the major sports channels are available. Reliability has been great.

That is very helpful information about YTTV. I'm paying $106 for Fubo per month. It has Bally Sports Detroit in my zip code but doesn't have any of the Turner/Warner channels like TNT, TBS, Discovery, etc. I have the same issue with the program guide not refreshing if I am watching something and turn off the TV or have the "sleep timer" set. When I turn it back on, it remembers where I left off on the show I was watching, but the program guide doesn't refresh unless I get out and relaunch the app. One of the things I like about Fubo is the flexibility to select a "home zip code." My understanding about YTTV is your home is based on your billing zip code. That is a problem for people who live in Monroe county Michigan (for example) but would rather watch local Toledo stations rather than Detroit, even though we're in the Detroit DMA. With Fubo, by selecting a Toledo/northwest Ohio zip code, it is possible to record and maybe watch Toledo stations. Speaking of recordings, Fubo recently offered unlimited hours of recording, however, recordings only last 9 months.
