We are flying into Florida in December for our honeymoon. I haven't been on a plane since I was 2, was always afraid of heights, witnessed 9/11 and now have to fly. Delta. I don't wanna. I don't fucking wanna. I hate being high up (ironic for me) and get a panic attack at the thought of it.
Some registered account users are experiencing password recognition issues. The issue appears to have been triggered by a PHP update on October 30. If this is occurring, please try logging in and using the "forgot password?" utility. Bear in mind auto-generated password reset emails may appear in your spam folder. If this does not work, please click the "Contact Us" option near the lower right hand corner of the index page to contact me via email. I have responded to all password reset requests received through 6a ET on November 7. You should see an email from the "Admin" email account.
November 9 update: Due to app errors, I have disabled the Tapatalk plug-in. As such, the Buzzboard is currently unavailable in Tapatalk. I am trying to do a clean reinstall, but each reinstall attempt is generating database errors. I am hopeful that the issue will be able to be resolved in the next few days.
Thank you for your patience!

Tell your dr. what’s up, get a couple Valium, have your fiancé wheel you to the gate in a wheelbarrow, only way I fly anymore, I prefer Amtrak to cross the country. They have a great steak, gets loaded on board right from the packer.
You're never too old to learn something stupid.
Re: Outa Here
First off, congratulations! Secondly, you will be fine and might even like it. My wife was terrified to fly and then we went to Arizona earlier this year. She had the exact same pre-flight anxiety that you have on the way out. After a successful first flight, she had no issues on the return and can't wait to fly again. Her prior flight anxiety limited where we could go on vacation for a long time - flying really opens up the world to you. If the TSA line is long, I recommend signing up for a free two month membership to Clear at the airport.Mega Hertz wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 8:49 pm I'm scared shitless.

Thanks, Matt. My wife is pro, she's traveled for years and wants to in the future, so I guess I better get on it. It's strange that the idea of the cruise ship doesn't bother me but being high in the air does. Oh, well. Que Sera Sera.Matt wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 7:27 amFirst off, congratulations! As for HD...I don't think me taking any kind of pills is a good idea. Let's just say I had some..."problems" before

You have a gift registry? Ask for a gift certificate for a root canal. A lot more fun.

If you haven't purchased your ticket already, and can fly into Miami, I highly recommend Southwest as a much more pleasant flight experience.Mega Hertz wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 8:49 pm I'm scared shitless.

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Oh, yeah. All purchased and set a couple months ago. Like I said, her and her family are regular Ponce de Leon's, so they have their favorites and their choices. If it makes you feel any better, you have a much greater chance of ending up like Her's if you drive down.
Even more, your odds of being murdered in the city of Detroit are much much higher than dying in a commercial plane crash.

That's what her and her folks keep telling me. I have more of a chance of dying in a car accident than a plane crash. At least I'm already on the ground!

I am always reminded that the pilot has a vested interest in the plane landing at the destination.

Plus at DTW, flying Delta separates you from the trash flying Spirit. American, United, and Southwest fliers are subjected to Spirit trash.TC Talks wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 10:35 pmNot better than Delta...Bryce wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 12:24 pmIf you haven't purchased your ticket already, and can fly into Miami, I highly recommend Southwest as a much more pleasant flight experience.Mega Hertz wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 8:49 pm I'm scared shitless.

Next Sunday we'll be going from being trailer trash to Spirit trash. Going back home.
I hope I never have to fly anywhere, ever again, for the rest of my life.

Yes, I have heard some not-so-good things about Spirit. My wife wanted to avoid them at all costs (literally).
