She is underutilized, in my opinion.
Well, I just learned a whole lot. I started with, "wait, Amyre Makupson's daughter is also in news?!" and then I learned so much more. Hahaha. I guess that's my ignorance.

It's honestly a very cool story. The videographer at WKBD that became the 62 news director brought AM II back to the same studio she used to visit her mom in when her mom did the news. Wow.

I agree with everyone about the newsroom format. It’s bad and it finally needs to change to a traditional news set, with a 2020s look. The newsroom format was ok to begin with but it did not age well at all.

In addition, the newscast is ran like a small market instead of a major market. They must upgrade the on air talent and fully utilize people like Friday, Humphries, and Ali. Speaking of Sandra, I think she needs to do middays. She’s a far superior anchor than Rachelle Graham is, and has major market talent. Rachelle needs to either be bumped down to mornings, weekends, or let go entirely. She’s just not a good fit for Detroit at all.

I don't share your opinion regarding Graham but do agree that Sandra is the stronger talent of the two.
Amyre II is an EpIC. She also does fill in anchoring. If and when WKBD goes back to having a 10pm newscast, Amyre would be the perfect candidate to anchor it.

Perhaps he should've accepted the depiction of his HRRR model, which showed very little if any precip across the region during that time period. Looks like the forecast model was spot on.
In his defense NWS was saying the same thing and not making changes in their noon update despite acknowledging the rain that went through could hamper further development.
Donald Trump… In your guts you know he’s nuts.

Dear America… you were warned.

I usually like Troy. He’s probably the second best meteorologist at that station, after Ahmad. Normally he does a good job but today he made a H*** gaff. I also blame the NWS for giving him that bad information too.
