There's a couple of possible 101.1 stations I can think of. WQON 101.1 Grayling is one. Another one, which used to be common in East Central Michigan outside of the WRIF strongest signal areas was WIXX 101.1 Green Bay, WI. By nulling out WRIF in those areas with a FM DA receiving antenna and selective tuner or receiver, WIXX was receivable nearly all the time, except perhaps in the Winter months.
You could use FM Query, put in your receiving location coordinates, put in a radius of 400 km or so, and a single channel 101.1 search to see what else it could be. Of course there is WKQX 101.1 Chicago, but with its low ERP, it is less common. I have heard it on occasion though. Once I called them up.
Acceptable registrations in the queue through June 3 at 5:00p ET have now been activated. Enjoy! -M.W.

Re: Coming in fron London
since almost all Chicago's FM stations went to Sears tower antennas, Wonder if the fomula for high ant /Low ERP....low antenna / high ERP still gives the same distance for the same signal strength reading at a distance. Or has there been a recalculation for this .
Re: Coming in fron London
Back in the late 70s, when all of the Toronto FMs moved up to the CN tower, I was living about 140 miles NW of Toronto. So any reception from Toronto was unreliable. But after they went to the new tower and reduced their XMTR power, reception that far away became even more difficult.
Of course, they were mainly interested in providing a good signal in their primary market area and that probably worked for them.

I don't mean to brag, but I just put a puzzle together in 1 day and the box said 2-4 years.

On hwy #401 in Ontario 104.3 WOMC almost always seems to make further to the NE than the rest of the Detroit FM signals.
They are 190 KW at 110 meters or 360 feet above average terrain.

When I lived up in Bruce county, it could be heard often.
