Actor Lou Gossett Jr. has died at 87 years old. Lou appeared in a Partridge Family TV episode "Soul Club" (with the late Richard Pryor) on January 29, 1971. Lou also appeared in 1982 "An Officer And A Gentleman" & 1986 "Iron Eagle" ("Top Gun" wannabe) & the sequels among others. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Gossett_Jr.

His most famous role is probably Officer & Gentleman. I thought he did a good job in the Iron Eagle series.
