I wouldn't hate on WLEW too much... aren't they still one of the few all local and in-studio DJs?

Speaking of, I miss Breck from the station. She's not the same now that she's on Z-93 WKQZ.

Breck left Cruise 102 for 98fm KCQ first, then went to Z93 and WIOG.

What do you mean that she’s not the same (besides being called Brecky three drinks)?

Exactly. She was always the calm, cool, younger voice at WLEW. Now she’s playing the frat girl role.

Don’t take it the wrong way, I still think she’s good. Hell, I’d like to see her join Matt and Adam in the morning! :hat

Sounds like a great idea! She could do the Morning After then her regular shift on Z93. WIOG would just have to find someone else for afternoons….

This young man obviously has not had anyone coach him on how to deliver news and where to place emphasis and inflection. He needs airchecking after each day because he mispronounces common words and place names beyond the stumbles. Unfortunately that news department has been rudderless for more than a year now. Many irrelevant stories are aired and their newscasters bury the lead. Many of their stories are lifted from other media and reported days later. It’s sad to see the decline as one of the state’s news leader has become a news laggard.

Two words...Dave Mauer.

Dave would have coached.....IF he felt there was potential. Dave was an incredible mentor.

Matthew just announced Sault Ste. Marie as “salt Stee Marie”. Hire cheap talent and that’s the inexperience you get! The audience deserves better.

Matthew butchered the 8am news. Stumbling, stammering and mispronunciation of words common to most adults! Why would they let him do one of the major morning newscasts?WSGW is no longer the quality station of the past!

Yup, and the guy doing the weather later in the day. His voice drives me nuts.
The wind is gusting up to 20 miles awwurr…

The typical announcer voice.
