WDVD sounding better than ever

Unread post by stopnswop2 »

Did 96.3 get a new PD?

Before, everytime I tuned it there was such bizarre programming, but I've had it on for hours now and this is such a change.

Oh I definitely agree this is nothing compared to what it was 15 years ago. I'm talking about sounding better than what it did recently

I haven't fiddled with the dial much lately. I can't even remember if it is a preset. It was absolutely horrible a year ago. I think I replaced with WOMC.

Honestly, I alternate between 97.1, 98.7, and 950 at Rush Hour.

The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

Okay, I listened to this during the PM drive today and heard Eminem(Lose Yourself), Billie Eilish(Bad Guy), and David Guetta(Baby Don't Hurt Me). I like it.

WJXQ really does have some awesome processing. WBYR also. Where i'm at in the metro, I can pick both up quite regularly.

I notice on WRIF, WIOT and WCSX quite often, the 'low bandwidth' sound of MP3 files, and also a digital 'mush' from their processors. it seems really noticeable during guitar riffs. Whatever processor they use is either set up quite wrong, or just plain sucks. I've noticed the same exact artifacts on WIIL also.

Don't get me started on WXKR, which sounds like it's playing 28kbit MP3s from an old iPod, and then trying to digitally process THAT. That station has sounded worse than a high school operation for quite some time now.

Even the audio processing on Cool 106.3 in Sarnia sounds better than the Beasley owned stations to me.

My hearing sucks, so it's all the same to me, but Cool 106.3 is awesome on the weekends. So is 105.5 in Port huron.

If you were around back in 1982 & 1983, Q106 WJXQ FM in Jackson, MI sounded fuckin' great back then & when the song fades, they also turned the meter sound up!!!!
