Warren's Golden Decagon.

I don’t believe I’ve seen it referred to that in any doc I’ve read, but good try (I guess ;)).

While it is a decagon, it is a large simple device that has been designed to serve a single specific purpose.

Hint: This one is in Michigan’s Cheboygan County; there’s another in a park near Grand Rapids, MI, too.

It's a sound mirror.

Nope. You're much closer - it does have to do with audio - but it's not a mirror...

To get an idea of its size, here's a visual hint:

Don't matter how many people you pack into it, it's a sound mirror. They were readily used in WWI to detect airplane/zeppelin engines over the English Channel. Prior to radar. Now they are simply toys where you can talk to someone else a long way away.

You pretty much got it. The intent is for folks to sit in it, and hear the sounds of nature.

Naturally amplified or concentrated sound. This is not one of a pair, but a stand-alone device…

OK, perhaps I am splitting hairs. Good job to both of you!

The answer is:

The Nature Megaphone @ the Boyd B. Banwell Nature Preserve.
