Re: Bear Lake Allotment Reinstated
Guessing,if this station goes back on air @100.7,it would displace Good News Media's Cadillac translator.
Re: Bear Lake Allotment Reinstated
Depending on where the full power site would be located. If it were located near Bear Lake (or roughly anywhere west of US-31), the translator could stay.

The tower is still there, at the north Manistee-Benzie county line, west of U.S. 31.

Re: Bear Lake Allotment Reinstated
Ground level there is over 300 feet above average terrain. About as much as ski resort tower locations in Michigan. The problem is that everyone wants to get into Traverse City, but there's that huqe ridge just West of Traverse City that blocks signals from that direction. That's why there are so many translators and boosters on that ridge, as well as station towers.Colonel Flagg wrote: ↑Fri Mar 24, 2023 11:40 pmThe tower is still there, at the north Manistee-Benzie county line, west of U.S. 31.
