CIDR....hilarious
Virgin radio has been running terrible audio for almost two weeks now, and no one here has noticed LOL (or at least posted about it). Goes to show what their listenership looks like. I miss the river.

yeah what I was talking about was mainly the overdriven audio. I talked to someone at the station yesterday, the claim is that an engineer is waiting on a piece of equipment to arrive.

The general mentality of radio these days is "set it and forget it" -- unlike the days of yore, there are no engineers monitoring their stations around the clock.zeplepplin wrote: ↑Tue Dec 27, 2022 7:33 pm kinda makes you wonder if anyone that works there listens to the station

I would like to see what would happen to those four Windsor radio stations if any other company besides Bell owned them.

Re: CIDR....hilarious
it did seem to get better for a bit, but now is 2x worse than it was to begin with. Seems like simply turning down the level going into the exciter would fix it temporarily? guess that's why i'm not an engineer
