The Bet, on 97.1?
The Bet, on 97.1?
Seriously, 97.1 couldn’t find anyone to host a slow Thursday night, so they’re simulcasting 1270 The Bet??

This was probably a mistake. 97.1 should have been running the CBS Sports programming during that timeframe.
I worked for 1270 when Chuck Fritz owned it, and later on, when Infinity took over. I never imagined that facility would one day be the waste of electricity it is today.

Doesn’t that faculty pull in some high ratings?

I believe Flagg is referencing 1270, not 97.1.windsorjoe wrote:Doesn’t that faculty pull in some high ratings?

That's correct. My apologies, for not being clear on that.format this wrote: ↑Fri Aug 26, 2022 11:33 pmI believe Flagg is referencing 1270, not 97.1.windsorjoe wrote:Doesn’t that faculty pull in some high ratings?

Probably not.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sat Aug 27, 2022 7:26 am BetQL = garbage filler programming.
CBS Sports Radio = garbage filler programming.
Both earn terrible ratings and are likely to induce immediate tune out. Does it really matter which feed 97.1 uses?

For sure it would make a difference for me. I don't listen to CBS Sports Radio a lot but I can certainly tolerate it. There is zero chance I would stay for The Bet.
Re: The Bet, on 97.1?
You’d think that there would be a producer, call screener or intern eager to get a shot at filling in for a shift.Colonel Flagg wrote: ↑Sat Aug 27, 2022 11:47 amProbably not.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sat Aug 27, 2022 7:26 am BetQL = garbage filler programming.

so you never foresaw how the almost ALL AM stations that were once glorious, became a "pile of poop" -Colonel Flagg wrote: ↑Fri Aug 26, 2022 4:56 pmThis was probably a mistake. 97.1 should have been running the CBS Sports programming during that timeframe.

Think of AM stations from "back in the day" in Metro Detroit, and tell me two that are doing it BETTER now....
