Kelly & Ryan coming back to ABC 12??
Kelly & Ryan coming back to ABC 12??
I heard rumors that "Live With Kelly & Ryan" is coming back this September at 9:00 on ABC 12 instead of "Good Morning Mid Michigan ABC 12 News". Any thoughts?? Poor ratings??

My friend there says ratings actually went up but they have no staff and arent hiring to keep up with loses. They need to give their remaining staff a break. This is why predatory contracts should be illegal like in other states

According to this report, Live will air at 10:00am not 9am.

Re: Kelly & Ryan coming back to ABC 12??
I’m pretty sure the Carz article was written by Kelly Ripa herself.
While we did get some upset viewers, it’s not like the place was ready to be burned down. And while management is positioning it as trying to help an overworked staff (and we are), the real reason to go back to Kelly and Ryan probably was due to money. The station thought it was going to save all this money by doing away with the syndication costs. Ratings went down and the sales team was giving away spots in the 9am hour. I’m sure Kelly and Ryan probably reduced their costs to get back on WJRT.
If it makes Denise and Brock feel better that they are easing our workload, so be it. There’s another way to do that… hire people and stop driving them out of the newsroom.

Why didn't 66 want Live Kelly & Ryan would have done better than Judge Jerry from 9AM to 10AM. I think Gray should've let Byron Allen make the choice to keep Kelly & Ryan and not to add a newscast as nothing happens at 9AM in Flint or in the area either.
Go Pistons, Let's Go Redwings.
Re: Kelly & Ryan coming back to ABC 12??
According to 25-66’s ASSistant GM/Promotions Manager, Kelly and Ryan cost too much and we were locked in with Judge Jerry by a Sinclair contractual obligation to run him in that time period. Not sure I believe that there wasn’t an opportunity, but there was a discussion when WJRT did away with Live.

How much do these shows cost the local stations?
