Domestic Terrorist Donald Trump

Unread post by TC Talks »

Not looking good for doofus when Trump's own team's words are used to condemn his carefully planned insurrection.

The committee has done a great job with the narrative of what really happened.
Select committee chair Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) began the hearing with a sweeping statement: Trump attempted to thwart the peaceful transfer of power and spurred “a mob of domestic enemies of the Constitution” to attack the Capitol. And in a nod to doubters, he augmented his statement with an excerpt of video testimony from former Attorney General Bill Barr, who said he told Trump his claims of election fraud were “bullshit.”
The video about Trump’s tweet, narrated by a select committee investigator, showed how social media chatter about stopping the transition of power picked up following the then-president’s “wild” promise — and how extremists in the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers viewed it as a call to action.
For Kristian Trumpers are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.

Now Trump has marginalized his daughter to protect his ego and the warped collection of deplorables who still follow him.
WASHINGTON — Former President Donald J. Trump, long known for distancing himself from or tossing aside staff members who contradicted him while he was in the White House, discovered a new target on Friday: his elder daughter.

The morning after the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol played recorded video testimony of his daughter, Ivanka Trump, at its prime-time public hearing, Mr. Trump used his social media website to separate himself from what she had said and to say she was “checked out” during the final days of his administration.

In the testimony, Ms. Trump said she was influenced by a Dec. 1, 2020, statement by William P. Barr, then the attorney general, that there was no widespread fraud that had altered the outcome of the election. She testified that she respected Mr. Barr and “accepted what he was saying.”

“Ivanka Trump was not involved in looking at, or studying, Election results,” Mr. Trump wrote on his social media website, Truth Social, in one of eight messages he posted there in response to the hearing. “She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, only trying to be respectful to Bill Barr and his position as Attorney General (he sucked!).”

Boy you sure didn't seem to take much umbrage with a guy who hung out with actual domestic terrorists, you know, ones that blew up buildings and robbed banks and stuff. Domestic terrorists that actually had their pictures on the wall in post offices around the country and were on the 10 most wanted list. You were all happy to have that guy president.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

When did Biden fraternize with domestic terrorists?

When did Obama hang out with domestic terrorists? And is it true that his real last name is Barry Soweto?

In the early 1990s, Obama had a pretty close relationship with Bill Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dohrn. In fact, his first fundraiser when he ran for state senate was held at their home. If you don't recognize those names, Google Weather Underground.

Interesting that after a number of press investigations, there is no evidence of a "close relationship" between the two. The supposed "campaign kick off fundraiser" was at the Ayers home, organized not by the former President, but by his predecessor in the Illinois State Senate. Both were associated with the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, but not at the same time and not together. There is no evidence that Ayers contributed to his campaign. And in 2013, Ayers demanded that Obama be tried as a war criminal for use of drones in combat. So get off your high horse and get the facts straight please.

But more importantly, President Obama did not attempt to sabatoge the incoming Trump administration. He had every department in the Executive Branch work with the Trump transition team to insure a smooth transition of power. That is something that can never be forgotten - many of the early problems INCLUDING Afghanistan came as a direct result of the lack of a proper transfer of power. Unforgivable..

Uh, yeah, there are a lot of people who would disagree with that assertion, including Jonathan Turley at The Hill.
...the Obama administration had been told that the basis for the FISA application was dubious and likely false. Yet it continued the investigation, and then someone leaked its existence to the media. Another declassified document shows that, after the New York Times ran a leaked story on the investigation, even Strzok had balked at the account as misleading and inaccurate. His early 2017 memo affirmed that there was no evidence of any individuals in contact with Russians. This information came as the collusion stories were turning into a frenzy that would last years.

I will grant you that perhaps members of the FBI and others made questionable moves during the campaign, and perhaps my sentence was overly broad. But you have to grant me that the Obama administration did not use any of that as an excuse to delay the transition, cut off funds for the transition team or avoid communication with them... something the 45 team deliberately did.

It looks like there is sufficient evidence to prosecute a President of high crimes. Does Garland have to political nuts to make his move?
He had means, motive and opportunity. But did Donald J. Trump commit a crime?

A House committee explicitly declared that he did by conspiring to overturn an election. The attorney general, however, has not weighed in. And a jury of his peers may never hear the case.

The first prime-time hearing into the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol this past week confronted the fundamental question that has haunted Mr. Trump, the 45th president, ever since he left office: Should he be prosecuted in a criminal court for his relentless efforts to defy the will of the voters and hang on to power?

For two hours on Thursday night, the House committee investigating the Capitol attack detailed what it called Mr. Trump’s “illegal” and “unconstitutional” seven-part plan to prevent the transfer of power. The panel invoked the Justice Department, citing charges of seditious conspiracy filed against some of the attackers, and seemed to be laying out a road map for Attorney General Merrick B. Garland to their central target.

Several former prosecutors and veteran lawyers said afterward that the hearing offered the makings of a credible criminal case for conspiracy to commit fraud or obstruction of the work of Congress.

In presenting her summary of the evidence, Representative Liz Cheney, Republican of Wyoming and the committee’s vice chairwoman, demonstrated that Mr. Trump was told repeatedly by his own advisers that he had lost the election yet repeatedly lied to the country by claiming it had been stolen. He pressured state and federal officials, members of Congress and even his own vice president to disregard vote tallies in key states. And he encouraged the mob led by extremist groups like the Proud Boys while making no serious effort to stop the attack once it began.

If you want to prosecute his ass, then prosecute his ass. The time has come to shit or get off the pot. This Trump obsession is beyond bizarre to me, even for people on the left.

Adam Schiff was quoted as saying that they had enough to prosecute. Sorry if I don't give a lot of credence to the same person who repeatedly said he had evidence of Russian collusion yet failed to present it.
