Robert Faygo wrote: Mon Feb 21, 2022 11:02 am Clearly whatever plan they had for him to learn how control his on-court temper after his outburst vs. Maryland last March has failed.

Passion for your team and players is good, but that can't happen.

He shouldn't be allowed back on the court until he can somehow prove these kinds of outbursts will never happen again. If they can't figure it out ... then he needs to be fired. The whole "I'm from Chicago and I fight when I'm challenged" can't be a thing for one second longer.
I am not a lawyer, but I can play one on mibuzzboard. I do know that UM is governed by the Board of Regents. From what I've read, there are eight members and several are attorneys, supposedly two are very capable personal injury attorneys. Correct me if I'm wrong here, Matt, MW, or others.

My point is they have a university employee who has shown two public episodes of violent behavior. The second episode was a physical assault. Clearly there is a pattern. He cannot control himself. The Board of Regents know that if a third episode occurs, and God forbid there is a serious injury, there will be litigation and the university would certainly be liable.

Seems to me there is just cause that he be terminated.
The Regents are definitely involved, and many are well known for reasons other than being a regent. I generally agree with what John U. Bacon posted: https://johnubacon.com/2022/02/what-juw ... -about-it/

People piling on suggesting that Juwan should be fired are either overly-sanctimonious or just don't like Juwan. This has to be a final warning.

Just for sake of accuracy he didn't throw a punch. He slapped him open handed on top of the head.
Not that I'm justifying it. I'd be a okay with him getting fired.

After reading the Bacon blog I would be fine with a suspension for the rest of the year, some sort of anger management punishment. Although I don't know how well those work.
And a three strikes and your out stipulation with smarter heads than me clearly defining a strike which doesn't have to be a literal physical strike.
As I said above if they fired him I'd be OK with that.

It should be noted that bitchboy Brad Davison was nowhere near the altercation.

This is the worst part of the entire situation. Punches are being thrown and no one took the opportunity to slug this punk in the face?!?

This picture's pretty interesting. Notice how Howard is grabbing Gard's shirt.

Which came moments after Gard grabbed Howard's arm. So I don't see any significance.

Gard didn't touch Howard in any aggressive way, but merely grabbed his elbow as Howard was walking past. Howard could have continued to walk past without saying a word and just shrugged it off, but, obviously he wasn't capable of that.

Diabate gets a 1 game suspension for throwing punches. Cockburn got 3 games for selling memorabilia when he thought he was going pro.

That's all you need to know about the Big Ten.
