To victims of high gas prices...

Unread post by TC Talks »

To all of you who were complaining that Biden was responsible for higher gas prices (which in itself is pretty hilarious), he is taking a token step to try to get gas prices lowered and the open market responded by raising retail prices.

So which is it that you're looking for? Blame the president and expect him to behave like a socialist or understand that this is the nature of capitalism and accept that gas prices are a result of the market and those who choose to manipulate it.

There is an open Justice Department investigation on why supply and demand are not in alignment currently. This has to do with oil producers not politicians but you should all be lauding our wonderful president for helping you.

The United States and five other world powers announced a coordinated effort to tap into their national oil stockpiles on Tuesday, attempting to drive down rising gas prices that have angered consumers around the world.

The move appeared to underwhelm oil traders, who had been expecting President Biden to announce a larger release from America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which is the biggest in the world with 620 million barrels. The price of a barrel of crude oil actually rose after the announcement in global trading, although administration officials said prices could fall in coming weeks.
For Kristian Trumpers are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.

It's amazing how big business is no longer the culprit. Everything is Biden's fault.

There are plenty of legit things to get pissed off at Biden for. The key one being that this vaccine mandate will cripple our fire departments and hospitals. I support the vaccine, but I think this is going to be a disaster.

I think what these conservative victims are really looking for is socialism. The minute Biden jumps into manipulate oil prices to help them they will complain that direction.

They're just a bunch of whiny idiots and it's unfortunate they wrestle control of the site but it still doesn't make them less stupid. Look at BMW for Christ's sake. He lost his rocker.

Who closed the federal lands to new leases and killed off a major pipeline for no valid reason?

Future supply does change the prices, especially when the guy the helm is off his rocker, you don't know what shoe will drop next.

If you're going to mention me, at least get the wording right. The correct phrase is "OFF his rocker."

It never ceases to amaze me that the moronic tRump cult members want to blame Biden over high gas prices, conveniently forgetting that the first time gas was over $4 a gallon, George W was President. They also forget or don’t understand not only supply and demand, but oil futures and speculation and how oil production was decreased in OPEC nations. POTUS has little to no control over gas prices (except when tRump threatened to blow some middle Eastern country off the map) 🙄🙄🙄.

But let the ignorance and stupidity continue. Saw it today when I stopped at the Grayling Speedway and the pump I filled up at had that stupid “I did that” Biden sticker with him pointing at the price. I tore it off…

Not sure if TCT is as delusional as he sounds or if this is a trolling fail.

The strategic petroleum reserve is for actual supply issues, not for trying to offset the disastrous impact of your energy policies.

Enlighten me, what part of his policy has created the petroleum refineries to lower production while crude prices have stayed mostly stable?

I was hoping the biggest closet socialist would chime in. Explain how complaining about the government controlling gas prices isn't the cry of a socialist?

If you were a true capitalist you would have just taken what the market gave you and shut up about it but you didn't.

From today's WSJ editorial on the matter:
For a decade the U.S. was the world’s swing oil producer. But U.S. drillers have retreated amid a regulatory assault from Washington, pressure from progressive investors, and challenges obtaining capital. Some say they are also struggling to find workers. Output is set to hit a record in the Permian Basin, where the break-even costs are low and new production doesn’t require long-term investment.

But U.S. production is still about 1.7 million barrels per day below its pre-pandemic peak and has been declining in other oil fields such as the Bakken Shale, where a shortage of pipeline capacity has raised costs. The Democrats’ multi-trillion-dollar spending bill is chock-full of fees that would make U.S. producers less globally competitive.

Meantime, the Biden Administration last week asked the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals to reverse a lower judge’s injunction on its ban on oil and gas leases on federal land. All of these policies discourage investment in future production, which means supply shortages and high gas prices may not be as temporary as the Administration claims.

Love my Chevy Volt. Honestly haven't been to the gas station since we took a road trip in July.

Next vehicle will be an all electric SUV....open to opinions.
