Realist: that other Sinclair stations have bounced back and are able to air regular programming gives you all the information you need to know about how serious our station management takes this issue. They claim there isn’t anything more they could possibly do. Yet as MasterB points out, other (marginally better run Corporate Death Star) stations like WWMT are back to business as usual spreading its right-wing propaganda.
We continue to get tons of complaints from viewers calling into the station and emailing us. I’d encourage you and others to continue to do so. It’ll force our incompetent station management— including our handpicked Sinclair GM, the ASSistant GM/Promotion Director, the In Over Her Head News Director and Bill’s Kid/Chief Engineer— to have to justify their slow response.

Re: 25-66 impacted by Sinclair ransomware attack
Apparently, Sinclair has fixed its top-rated and higher-market stations first, while leaving lower rated, smaller-market stations to fend for themselves. I believe WWMT is the top station (or at least, a strong second place) in Michigan's second largest market. 25 and 66 are behind 5 and 12 in Michigan's third largest market.
This being said, as we are now in a sweeps month, 25 and 66 won't even be eligible for those cheap participation trophies this year. Practically, 25 and 66 are the third and fourth stations in what has become a two-station market.

We are at the point where it wouldn't be surprising to see that 49 is viewed more than 25 and 66.
turn up the radio! mighty in might!

OMG! IT’S FIXED (sort of)!!
Watching the Today Show and it was a minute of weather promos instead of local weather and/or the Today show national weather map. Bottom and top of the hour local news spots were instead all promos for their syndicated shows or PSA’s. Absolutely no local commercials. It makes me wonder how much money they are losing by running no local spots.

Looks like it is back to abnormal! They probably just got around to give the engineers more than a hammer, screwdriver, pliers, and a condom to work with!

Hey Sinklair - is this ransomware still apparently affecting your news product? It’s been solved for 3-4 weeks but there is still no local weather or news breaks during the Today show…
