The 49ers made 24 points in the 2nd quarter. What was the Lions head coach thinking????

Look at the bright side. All NFC North teams lost.

It took me forever to stop going to 97.1 for Lions games out of force of habit while driving and today it faked me out again when I went to WJR. Forgot they had switched back to 97.1 this season.

Yesterday performance reminded me of the Same lions from the last 20 years. Getting Blown out and trying to make a comeback and falling short.

This year expectation is winning and making playoffs while winning playoff games as they have already rebuilt the team from the last 8 years. The owner is in the hot seat now.

Whose expectation is this exactly? Most odds-makers rank Detroit as DEAD LAST in the entire NFC this year.

Owner and fans.

If the owner does not have any expectations, then me or you are actually fully qualified to be coach of the team as we can produce the same results.

Well, those are pie-in-the-sky expectations and anybody who has such expectations is setting themselves up for disappointment. Reality is that at the moment, this is a bad football team and this season will be at best the first year of a multi-year rebuild. The "rebuilt" team from the past 8 years didn't get it done and is being rebuilt again.

Well that also sounds like pie-the-sky with rebuilt again. Also sounds like anyone thinking the team will be rebuilt for the multi year is setting themselves up for disappointment.

So two options.

1. Move the team out of Michigan and get a expansion team.

2. sell the the team and get a new owner

Rebuilt again and again and again since 1957 and no completion date in sight.

Anybody see the Packers shit the bed yesterday? How about da Bears and dem Vikings? The division is up for grabs! No, I hardly expect our fair team to contend, but on any given Sunday.... :smokin

In related news, former No. 3 overall draft pick CB Jeff Okudah is out for the season...no H*** loss, in my opinion, considering the already poor state of our secondary. Scour the waiver wire! Is Teez Tabor available? :razz

Dan Campbell is a leader. This is a thrown away season for the Lions. They'll be on the upswing in the next few years.
This is a pro-Harris/Walz account

Same...old...Lions. Yet another HORRIBLE (in hindsight) early round draft pick.
By several different measures and from several different sources, the Lions aren't the worst drafters in the league over the past twenty years or so, merely one of the worst. :razz

There was this in the Freep this morning (subscription required) where commentator Steve Smith called DB coach Aubrey Pleasant's reaming out of Jeff Okudah on the sidelines indicative of a "shit show in Detroit"! You've gotta be f--king kidding me!

Gonna go out on a limb and say the Lions will not lose on this football Sunday.

Gonna go out on a limb and say the Lions won't embarrass themselves tonight as they did in their Monday Night Football appearance three years ago against the Jets and rookie QB Sam Darnold, coach Matt Patricia's debut. Instead it will be a competitive contest such as the Lions/Packers Monday Night matchup two years ago in which we were again robbed by the refs.
