Some registered account users are experiencing password recognition issues. The issue appears to have been triggered by a PHP update on October 30. If this is occurring, please try logging in and using the "forgot password?" utility. Bear in mind auto-generated password reset emails may appear in your spam folder. If this does not work, please click the "Contact Us" option near the lower right hand corner of the index page to contact me via email. I have responded to all password reset requests received through 6a ET on November 7. You should see an email from the "Admin" email account.
November 9 update: Due to app errors, I have disabled the Tapatalk plug-in. As such, the Buzzboard is currently unavailable in Tapatalk. I am trying to do a clean reinstall, but each reinstall attempt is generating database errors. I am hopeful that the issue will be able to be resolved in the next few days.
Thank you for your patience!

Someone in another thread said this was coming.
Re: Ellen Bacca named first female Chief Meteorologist in West Michigan
Don’t get me wrong … I love that they picked Ellen and her promotion is well deserved but WOOD TV is saying Ellen is the first female chief meteorologist In west Michigan which is inaccurate. Pam Land was Chief Meteorologist at WOTV in the mid to late 90s and early 2000s when they had a news department.

I wonder if Matt Kirkwood was even considered for being Chief Meteorologist.
I believe he been at Channel 8 for 23 years.

Yes, that was me. I said multiple times "it will be Ellen and it will be soon." Worst kept secret in the market, besides Mike and Deanna's departure at 17...that is.

Not sure why people equate longevity to promotion? That's like saying a seasoned actor/actress should get the lead over some young up and comer because "they've been in Hollywood longer". By all accounts Matt is a great guy, but the next time I hear someone say he is must watch meteorology...will be the first time.Thunderstorm wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 7:56 pm I wonder if Matt Kirkwood was even considered for being Chief Meteorologist.

He is Chief Meteorologist Emeritus, according to the station. He will cover weekend evenings and nights, along with some special features.organman95 wrote:Did Bill retire? Or become "senior meteorologist" ?

I am glad Bill chose to scale back gracefully. I was afraid that the transition would be left until they closed his coffin lid.
I heard the anchor say "Chief" when introducing Ellen last night at 10 pm and thought I was hearing things. I thought it was strange they didn't identify her with an onscreen graphic. Congratulations Ellen!
P.S. Does this mean Bill's basement is gone forever. My wife would be so disappointed.
