Re: Justice
The prosecution delivered a slam dunk case to my untrained eyes. Chauvin's actions were inexcusable. It's good to see that justice was served.
I'm here for a good, hearty debate, to agree and disagree respectfully, and commiserate on the current state of terrestrial radio.

No issue with the verdict from me.

Agreed - it will be interesting to see the appeal process play out.craig11152 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 5:49 pm No issue with the verdict from me.

Yup. It should come as some solace that as a country we are still able to conduct trials and let justice be met by a jury of peers not dispensed either by violent mob or intuitional favoritism. Today the system worked. That is something to be cherished.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 5:41 pm Hats off to the jury for their careful yet expeditious deliberations and for arriving at the correct verdict!
I hope Mr. Chauvin's fate serves as a clear warning to all other rogue cops and entices them to relinquish the badge and enter another line of work.

I think you should move to Detroit so you can help speed up the process.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Maxine Waters will share ALL of the blame if the verdict gets tossed.Matt wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 5:54 pmAgreed - it will be interesting to see the appeal process play out.craig11152 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 5:49 pm No issue with the verdict from me.

Re: Justice
Overturning a criminal jury verdict is extremely difficult.
Re: Justice
You know what gets missed in all of this? The City of Minneapolis has been controlled from top to bottom by democrats since the mid-70s.
If there is systemic racism in the police department why wouldn't the Democrat controlled mayor's office, City council, Police union, and police department have some culpability?

While I wholeheartedly agree Maxine Waters is a complete fool, the verdict will not get tossed.Matt wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 6:58 pmYep.bmw wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 6:31 pmMaxine Waters will share ALL of the blame if the verdict gets tossed.Matt wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 5:54 pmAgreed - it will be interesting to see the appeal process play out.craig11152 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 5:49 pm No issue with the verdict from me.

But quite expected you guys decide to deflect from the main issue and bury the lead.
