Bring back the MURC Index
Re: Local on-air pers. in the movies
Was that Clint Eastwood in Windsor, Ontario (instead of Detroit) during the movie "Gran Torino"??
Re: Local on-air pers. in the movies
Not sure I would consider Clint as a local on-air personality. I looked through the cast list and didn't see any on-air folks I'd recognize, but they might not be listed if they were just on a tv screen in the background.
Did they film any of Gran Torino scenes in Windsor? Looking at IMDB, here's the locations they show for the shoots:
Royal Oak, Michigan, USA
Center Line, Michigan, USA (Interior bar scene with characters Mel and Father Janovich)
Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan, USA
Highland Park, Michigan, USA
Grosse Pointe, Detroit, Michigan, USA
Detroit, Michigan, USA
238 Rhode Island Street Highland Park Michigan, USA (Walt Kowalski's house)
204 W 11 Mile Rd, Royal Oak, Michigan, USA
13140 Charlevoix St, Detroit, Michigan, USA

I thought that was Clint driving the car near the Detroit River on the other side of Windsor, ON.
